Brandi earned her Bachelor degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and her Master’s degree in Social Work with a certification in School Social Work from Southern Illinois University.
Brandi has eight years of counseling experience in a variety of settings including: in-home services, school, and a residential facility. Brandi has primarily worked with children and adolescents , but has worked with adults to assist them in better understanding,coping with, and managing their children’s mental health struggles. Brandi enjoys working collaboratively with clients to see their potential and achieve their goals. Brandi uses a combination of Client Centered, Cognitive Behavior, Motivational Interviewing, Play, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques.
Brandi works with children, adolescents, and adults to address difficulties related to interpersonal problems, depression and anxiety, self-harming, defiance and conduct issues, trauma, life stage changes, and mood management.
Brandi believes all clients have strengths that can be used to manage and address any mental health or troubling symptoms they may have, but recognizes individuals occasionally need an objective and empathetic party to help guide them. Brandi enjoys helping clients recognize their potential and set goals to improve and achieve the lives they desire. With a trusting and active helping relationship, all individuals are able to live meaningful lives.
